Ground Source Heat Pumps use pipes in horizontal trenches or vertical boreholes. A brine/glycol mixture of water and anti-freeze is contained in these pipes (or loops). This circulates through the pipes, absorbing heat from the ground before entering the refrigeration cycle. The expansion and compression refrigeration cycle boosts the temperature of the water in the heating system.
Solar panels, often known as solar PV, capture the sun’s energy and convert it to electricity that can be used to power appliances and lights in the home. The other type is solar thermal which heats water and can help you save money on your heating bills and power your property.
Electric vehicles (BEVs) use electricity stored in a battery pack to power an electric motor. When depleted, the batteries are recharged using grid electricity, either from a wall socket or a dedicated charging unit. An EV has zero exhaust emissions which is great for the environment.
Utility Planners (UK) Cover utility services such as: Substation installation and decommissioning, extra high voltage, over head, low voltage, metering, gas governor, low, medium, intermediate and high pressure gas, civils, street lighting, utility surveys, renewable energy and kiosks .
